Name one country that is ready to welcome everyone: Jayashankar

New delhi date. March 7, 2020, Saturday

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had asked a question to those who were opposing the CAA, NRC. He asked to tell me one country that was ready to welcome every citizen of another country.

The United Nations Human Rights Council opposed India's citizenship law and raised questions, in response to which Jaishankar said there was no country in the world that was ready to welcome every citizen of another country to its own country.

When asked about the CAA and NRC opposition going on in a program, he said, "We are giving people citizenship from CAA so it should not be praised or criticized." Let those who are protesting show me a country that is ready to welcome everyone from all over the world to their own country.

When asked if the director of the United Nations Human Rights Council on the Kashmir issue is not ready to accept the central government's arguments, Jaishankar was asked if he said the council's directors were going the wrong way.

There is a need to examine how the Council has shown its attitude towards India in the past. Explaining the CAA, Jaishankar said that there were thousands of people living in India who had no country, we have tried to give them citizenship through CAA. So from the stateless we have made them a countryman.

Talking about the development of the country, Jaishankar claimed that India's development is progressing. The CAA, NRC and NPR are currently under protest. Opponents argue that the CAA discriminates on the basis of religion when the NRC is implemented, citizens will have to be harassed to prove their citizenship.

Besides, even if Muslims-Hindus are not included in the NRC, Hindus will become involved through CAA and will become citizens of the country but not Muslims. Amid the controversy, S. Jayashankar has said that state a country that is ready to welcome everyone.
