Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani is no longer the richest man in Asia.
Jack Ma, now a Chinese businessman and founder of the Alibaba website, has now surpassed Mukesh Ambani, becoming the richest man in Asia.
Mukesh Ambani's assets plummeted by $ 5.8 billion due to a stock market crash on Monday. His assets are now $ 41.9 billion and Jack's wealth is $ 44.5 billion.
On Monday, Reliance shares saw the biggest decline in eight years. Reliance's share price fell 13.65 per cent to Rs 1094 at one point.
However, by the time the market closed on Monday, the stock price had risen to Rs 1114.
