In Scotland, women will get a sanitary pad free, a rule of government

New Delhi, 1 March 2020, Sunday

The Parliament of Scotland has decided to make free sanitary products available to women. The scheme has also been approved. Scotland is the first country to do so. Women will now get free tampons, sanitary pads from community centers, youth clubs and pharmacies.

The government will spend £ 24.1 million annually on the scheme. The bill was proposed by Monica Lallan in Parliament. In Parliament, he said the bill would prove to be an important decision to make menstruation a common practice in Scotland. This will send a message to the people of the country that gender parity is taken seriously in Parliament.

In the first year of 2018, free sanitary products were given to schools, colleges and universities across Scotland. Scotland was also the first country to do so.
