Chidambaram praised the Modi government's efforts to control the Corona virus

Amid growing cases of corona virus in the country, senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Sunday expressed concern over the gap between the state government and the center in the country.

Chidambaram, apart from his Congress colleagues Shashi Tharoor and Rahul Gandhi, has praised the government's efforts so far to control the deadly corona virus in the country.

Chidambaram tweeted, "The fight against Corona virus has been good so far but we can do better".

Corona virus-positive cases have increased from 31 in a week to 84. Some state governments have announced a partial lockdown. It is time for the central government and to consider the remedies.

The former finance minister has said it is time to heed ICMR's warning. If we have time to do 30 days in Stage 3 to prevent the spread of virus infection, we should move forward with a firm resolve.

Earlier on Friday, Tharoor condemned the government over rising cases of corona virus in the country. Rahul Gandhi also attacked the government on Thursday over rising cases of corona virus in the country. He tweeted that the corona virus is a major problem. Ignoring the problem is not a solution.
