Bribe in exchange for loan: New CBI case against Rana Kapoor and wife of Yes Bank

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a new case against Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor. The names of others, including Rana Kapoor and his wife, have also been mentioned in the new case filed by the CBI.

The CBI is investigating the Yes Bank case from the standpoint of corruption and criminal conspiracy. The CBI also raided Delhi and Mumbai residences of Rana Kapoor.

In a new case filed by the CBI, it is alleged that Rana Kapoor and his wife Bindu bought a bungalow at Delhi for half a price in exchange for sanctioning a loan of Rs 1900 crore to a realty company.

According to CBI sources, Rana Kapoor and Bindu had a profit of Rs 307 crore in the deal, meaning that the couple took a bribe of Rs 307 crore from the realty company in return for the loan.

The agency suspects that a 1.2-acre bungalow on the Amrita Shergill road was bribed in the form of a bribe - half of the Bliss Abode Pvt. Ltd. Was granted on behalf of. In return for this bribe, a Rs 1900 crore loan was given to Gautam Thapar-promoted company Avantha Realty and Group Companies.

Kapoor's wife Bindu Bliss is one of two directors of Abode Private Limited. According to officials, the CBI today registered a case against Gautam Thapar, Rana Kapoor and his wife Bindu under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The agency today raided the offices of Rana Kapoor and his wife Bindu in the Mumbai-based offices and residences, Bliss Abode, Avantha Realty and Indiabulls Housing Finance Limited, in the Delhi and NCR offices. The CBI has alleged that Rana Kapoor mortgaged the bungalow purchased for Rs 378 crore to Indiabulls Housing Finance Limited and got a loan of Rs 685 crore.
