About 175 women activists in the country have written an open letter to the Prime Minister. The letter sought to halt the communist statements of BJP leaders. The letter said that the security of women in Delhi was in danger due to the aggressive speeches of the leaders.

175 women activists, including the All India Progressive Women's Association, the National Federation of Indian Women, wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing concern over the safety of women.

Expressing concern over the aggressive statements of BJP leaders on issues including citizenship law, NRC, NPR, the Prime Minister urged the Prime Minister to stop such statements.

Women activists said that local and cabinet ministerial leaders were making communal remarks in the Delhi Assembly elections. This is likely to increase the violence against women. It sends a message of aggression and violence against women among the people.

The women argued in the letter that it was the constitutional right of the citizens of the country to oppose anything, they should be negotiated. Action should be taken on a legal basis against the perpetrators of violence, but giving violence and communal statements against them would jeopardize the safety of women.
