Will India, Namibia, Africa bring leopard from the country and plant it in the forest?

New Delhi, January 5, 2020 Wednesday

For the past 70 years, leopard animals have not been found in India. The Maharaja of Sarguja is believed to have hunted the last 3 leopards in 1947. In the world too, cheetahs are included in a series of rapidly disappearing creatures. Running at 120 km per hour, this creature is fighting for its survival. Currently there are only 3 leopards left in the world. In 2010, the central government set up a committee to implement the scheme for cheetahs in India.

This committee recommended that Kuno Palpur of Madhya Pradesh, considered the home of the fastest running animal, could be brought to the Velavadar National Fund of Gujarat and the Tal Chhapar Sanctuary in Rajasthan. The leopard is currently survived in Iran and Africa. The number of leopards in the world is dwindling as poaching, smuggling and declining natural habitats of the Cheetahs diminish. Citing the extinction of the Indian leopard species, the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) asked the Supreme Court for permission to bring the leopard from Namibia. The Supreme Court has agreed to construct a suitable sanctuary for the restoration of the leopard in India on January 28, which disappeared from India. It has also been directed to conduct the entire planning under the supervision of the court.

However, wildlife experts believe that providing alternative habitat is important for any extinct animal. Already there is friction between wild beasts and humans in the country. As the tigers and the depots arrive in the area of men, they are also killed. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare sufficient habitat and food for the leopard before bringing it to India. Of the 8 breeds of big cats, although we live well there, they also have habitat problems. Therefore, it is important to consider the challenges that are facing before bringing concern to India. Kuno Palpur can be one of the favorite places for cheetahs in India.
