There are still more than 350 terrorists in 20 camps in PoK: army chief Naravane

New Delhi, February 20, 2020 Thursday

Army President Manoj Narwane has said that Pakistan is still a shelter for terrorists, army chief has claimed that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) can have 15 to 20 terror camps, even as the terror camps have increased from 250 to 350. He says this is just speculation, the number of terrorists may be even higher.

He said if the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) put pressure on him, he might have to consider his statement and terrorist tactics. Narwane said the FATF could also be one of the reasons for the decline in terrorist activity in the Valley in the last days.

On the possibility of FATF being included in the gray list, the army president said that China too is aware that it cannot support its nearest friend at all and every time.

The army chief said that we have all the input on Pakistani terrorist activities, but we want to state that we are able to thwart the Pakistani bait operation,

Due to the terror, the threat of blacklisting of FATF gatekeepers in Pakistan is at stake, but later it is given more time. It is now being said that it may be placed on the gray list.

Malaysia and Turkey are the only two countries that are opposed to the gray list. But Pakistan is believed to be on the gray list.

If Pakistan is blacklisted then the situation in Pakistan which is already facing financial crisis could get worse.
