A case related to reservation in government jobs in Uttarakhand has triggered an uproar over the Supreme Court's observation that reservation is not a fundamental right. There was strong opposition in both the Houses of Parliament on this issue. Opposition demanded that the government immediately request a review petition against the verdict.

On the reserve issue, the opposition caused a stir in both houses of Parliament. The Lok Sabha was heard saying that the BJP government is anti-reserve. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP government wants to abolish reserves so that the ST-SC and OBC never go ahead.

The ideology of abolishing reserves is in the DNA of the BJP-RSS. Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the BJP government's words, saying that Congress would never allow BJP's ideology of abolition of reserves to succeed.

The Modi government is constantly attacking the constitution and trying to weaken the constitution. The government does not allow the opposition to speak in Parliament, but Congress supports the reserve and always strives to keep the backward sections of society ahead.

All opposition in the Lok Sabha targeted the central government. Opposition, including the Congress-Trinamool Congress-NCP-SP-BSP, saw the government as anti-reserve. Opposition MPs have accused the Modi government of being anti-Dalit and anti-tribal.

The BSP described the central government as anti-Dalit. The NCP demanded that the central government take immediate action. The proceedings of the Lok Sabha began as soon as opposition MPs raised the issue and demanded a debate in Parliament.

After widespread protests, Minister for Social Welfare Thawar Chand Gehlot defended that the government was committed to protecting reserves. Rajnath Singh also defended the issue, saying that in 2012, there was a Congress government in Uttarakhand when an application was made for reservation in government jobs. In response, Congress' Ardhiran Rajan Chowdhury said that the BJP government in Uttarakhand had argued in the Supreme Court that the reservation should be removed.

In Rajya Sabha too there was a lot of noise on the reserve issue. Congress leader Gulamanbi Azad said the government should bring an immediate order against the Supreme Court's ruling. Opposition MPs also demanded that the government file a reconsideration petition in the Supreme. Moreover, if there was a need for this issue, there was a demand that the government create a new law and protect the reserves.

The NDA's allies slammed the government

Chirag Paswan of NDA's alliance LAGP also criticized the government, saying that the reserve is not a farm, but a fundamental right of the people. He said the central government should intervene in this matter.

Chirag Paswan had made a statement in the Lok Sabha, but also tweeted, criticizing the government's attitude. Chirag Paswan wrote that the recent Supreme Court verdict will end the reservation. Bihar leaders opposed the government on the issue of reservation.

Bright Yadav tweeted that BJP government in Uttarakhand was fighting a case in the Supreme Court to end the reservation. This reveals the anti-reserve mentality of the BJP. Bright Yadav challenged NDA's allies, including Ramvilas Paswan, Nitish Kumar, to tag and cast their votes.

DMK president MK Stalin targeted the BJP saying that since the BJP government came to the center, there was a risk on reserves. Government should take immediate steps to protect the reserves. Stalin said government ministers and union families have been voting in opposition to the reserves for a long time.
