The High Court gave the Center four weeks to respond to the violence

New delhi date. February 27, 2020, Friday

Police have started action against those involved in the Delhi violence. According to a report, police currently have around 1000 CCTV footage of Delhi's violence-related areas. On the other hand, the entire case has also reached the Delhi High Court.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had withdrawn the police and asked them to take action on the speeches of the leaders responsible for the violence, though a hearing was taken after Judge Muralidhar, who gave the orders, was transferred.

The High Court has sought response from the Center on why the FIR has not been filed against the leaders for issuing provocative statements and has given the Center four weeks to do so. Activist Harsh Mandir filed the petition in the high court.

An FIR was filed against Anurag Thakur, Kapil Mishra and Parvesh Verma. These leaders made statements like Goli Maro. The police argued in court that the case would take appropriate action but we need time, videos, etc. to be seen. So the court has given four weeks time.
