Rocket Attack Against Iraq, Blast Near US Embassy

Baghdad, Ta. Sunday 16 February 2020

Tensions between the US and Iran have not ended yet. Amid tensions, the US Embassy in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, has again been attacked with a rocket. This was confirmed by sources close to the US Army.

This is the 19th consecutive attack from October 2019 to last year. In the area where the rockets have been fired, some aircraft have been spotted. The attack took place in the green zone, where some are all government buildings.

The place also has some country embassies. On February 13, Iran threatened the United States that Iran would attack the United States and Israel. Iran is believed to be pushing the US on such attacks.

40 days after the death of General Qasim Sulaimani, Major General Hussein Salami of Iran had said that if America or Israel made a mistake, we would attack it.

Relations between Iran and the US have deteriorated following the death of Iranian commander Qasim Sulaimani.
