Nirbhaya case criminals told Supreme Court to avoid hanging, 'my mental condition is not good'

New delhi date. February 13, 2020, Thursday

Vinay Sharma, the culprit of the Nirbhaya case, filed a petition in the Supreme Court. It claimed that he was not fit to be hanged because his mental health was bad. The central government responded to this argument by saying that the culprit is Shatir Mind and very healthy.

Vinay Sharma, the culprit of the Nirbhaya case, appealed to the President for mercy. The president rejected his mercy petition. In his plea for mercy, he told the president that his mental state was not good. Unbelievably, Vinay had filed a petition in the Supreme Court opposing the mercy petition.

Vinay argued in the Supreme Court that the President did not consider the issue of his mental state not stable. In this regard, the central government responded that Vinay Shatir was a criminal in the mind and he was mentally and physically healthy.

Vinay's plea claimed that he was treated in prison so that his mental condition deteriorated. In such a case it is not appropriate to hang him. The Supreme Court will hold additional hearing on Vinay Sharma's plea at two o'clock on Friday afternoon.
