New Panther guilty of Nirbhaya, seeking release from executions after being mentally unwell

New Delhi, Feb 13, 2020, Thursday

The Nirbhaya case convicts have now been cleared to escape the gallows and are trying different maneuvers.

While the President has rejected the mercy petition of one of the convicted Vinay Sharma, Sharma has appealed to the Supreme Court on the decision, saying that my mental condition is not good, and that the death sentence should be granted.

The apex court has decided to give a verdict on this petition on Friday. To avoid hanging, Vinay's lawyer told the court that Vinay Sharma was traumatized. He could not be hanged because his mental condition was not good.

My lawyer has been referred to the Mental Hospital several times and he has also been given medicines. A mentally unwell person cannot be hanged. I want to prevent this injustice. Also, the Home Minister and LG have no signatures on the mercy petition file. This file is also what I want to see. I have done an RTI for this. However, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta from the government had said that he had signed all the documents and had asked for the documents.

However, the lawyer argued again, that the documents were sought on WhatsApp. Why original documents have not been submitted. My appeal has been psychologically annoying. While the President has a plethora of mercy petitions, a decision is being taken soon on the mercy petition of Nirbhaya accused.

From the government, Tushar Mehta said that all information, including his family status, was sent to the President along with the mercy petition by the Home Ministry with the petition of mercy Vinay.

The Home Ministry said, "This is a very serious crime and Rare of the worst case."
