New delhi date. 20 February 2020, Thursday

If you have yet to do any important work of the bank, now you have to wait till Monday. In addition, the stock market will also open on Monday. In fact, most banks in the country will be closed for the next three days. So now you have to wait till Monday to settle the bank's work. Let me tell you why markets and banks will be closed for the next three consecutive days.

Because of this the banks will remain closed

Since February 21, Mahashivratri will be a holiday in the banks. Also, February 22 is the fourth Saturday of the month and Sunday is February 23, so banks will be closed during these two days as well. According to media reports, ATMs may also suffer in many parts of the country in these three days. So make sure to arrange cash in advance so that cash does not bother.

However, online banking will not be affected in the meantime. You will be able to use online banking as before. At the same time you have to wait three days for the bank to work.

Banks do not operate in these days too

February 21 - Most banks will be closed across the country on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
February 22 - Since the fourth Saturday of the month, there will be no work in banks across the country.
February 23 - There will be a holiday in the banks as it is a Sunday holiday.
February 24 - Banks will remain closed on the occasion of loss in Gangtok.

Why is the stock market closed?

Similarly, the stock market closed on Friday due to Mahashivratri. Also on Saturday and Sunday there is a holiday in the stock market. That is, there is no trading in the stock market for three consecutive days.

Banks will be closed these days in March as well

According to the Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI) and the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), the all-India banks will strike from March 11 to 13 after the wage reform story with the Indian Bank Association (IBA) failed. The strike will end on the second Saturday of the month, when the holiday leaves in the banks. This will affect the working of the bank for five days including Sundays.
