Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed resigns

Malaysia's Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammed resigned on Monday. After that the path to the formation of a new government has opened in Malaysia.

94-year-old PM Mahathir issued a two-line statement saying that he had submitted his resignation to the king of the country at 5am.

Mahathir has also been in discussions for a long time to support his opposition to the Kashmir issue and openly support Pakistan.

According to the social media post of party president Muhyiddin Yasin, Behtaroo Malaysia, the party's predecessor to Mahathir, has also dropped the coalition government, Pakatan Harappan.

The decision to resign after Mahathir has come after a political battle issued in the last few weeks. Malaysia has a history of two important political figures fighting in which the controversy between 94-year-old Mahathir and 72-year-old Anwar is the new chapter.
