Free entry of Indians into Bhutan will be closed, charges will be given on a daily basis

Free entry of Indians going to Bhutan is going to close soon. The Bhutan government has decided to ban entry into India and Bangladesh and Mavdev's own country. Passengers traveling to Bhutan from all three countries will now have to pay Rs 1,200 per day.

The government of Bhutan has named the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) on foreign travelers. Passengers will be charged equally from July 2020. The National Assembly of Bhutan on Tuesday passed the name of the Tourism Levy and Exemption Bill of Bhutan, 2020. However, the charge from tourists from India, Bangladesh and the Maldives is much lower than the charge on tourists from other countries. Foreign tourists traveling to Bhutan have to pay around Rs 17,000 per day separately.

Most Indians prefer to move to the western part of Bhutan. So the government has kept this charge low here to promote the eastern part. This charge will not be applicable to children under 5 years of age while only Rs 600 will have to be paid for entry of 6-12 year olds. It is noteworthy that Bhutan is very serious about the environment and does not want to allow the heavy burden of tourists to fall on his own land. Because of this, the government has decided to impose this charge on travelers from all three countries.
