Four and a half lakh toilets were 'lost' in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal Ta 10 February 2020 Monday

The claim that construction of toilets in Madhya Pradesh as part of the Prime Minister's cleanliness campaign was bogus has come to light and a scandal of Rs 450 crore has come to light.

The government had claimed that four lakh toilets were constructed here between 2012 and 2018. It was also claimed that Rs 450 crore was spent on the project. But these toilets were actually on paper. Not a single toilet could be shown.

It was also reported that all the photographs that were presented with toilet photographs of toilets belong to other people's toilets.

All the toilets were found missing when the concerned authorities investigating the project attempted to tag the photographs with GPS. Then the scandal came out.

The scandal reminded me of the toilet door scandal in 2017. In 2017, government officials later claimed that 42,000 toilets were installed as new doors were broken and the toilets were broken and in poor condition. There was virtually no such work and billions of rupees were scammed.
