US President Donald Trump is due to visit India. Earlier, four US lawmakers raised the issue of central government raising the issue of human rights in India. In a letter to Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo, four American lawmakers introduced the 370-CAA issue.

American MPs Chris van Hollen, Todd Young, Richard Durbin and Lindsay Graham have expressed concern over the current status quo, calling themselves old friends of India. The MPs wrote a letter to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo before US President Donald Trump visited India on 370 and citizenship laws.

These MPs said the impression that the present central government was taking action against the minorities. Citing fierce protests across the country in the Citizenship Act, the letter argued that the Modi government is taking steps towards ignoring people of a certain religion.

Similarly, the issue of Human Rights in Jammu and Kashmir was raised by these MPs. The MPs said that after the removal of 370 articles from Kashmir, the internet was stopped for some time. Kashmir is also one of the major events in Asia that has deprived people of Internet service.

The MPs presented to Pompeo that the US foreign ministry should have a dialogue with the Indian government during Trump's visit to this regard. The MPs also expressed concern that if such a stance remains in India, there will be serious consequences in South Asia in the future.
