(PTI) New Delhi, Ta. February 10, 2020, Monday

Bank employees can once again go on a three-day strike in March. If bank employees go on strike, banks will be closed for five days in the second week of March.

Notably, banks were closed on strike on the day of the budget and the day before (31st Jan, 1st Fab.). They are likely to strike again in March, as demand for bank employees is still not satisfied.

The Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI) and the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) said all employees of all government banks would go on a three-day strike from March 11 to 13 if their demands were not accepted.

The strike was announced by BEFI and AIBEA from March 11 to 13. Also, the second Saturday is March 14th and on March 15th, the bank will be closed for five days in a row. Bank employees are demanding a pay revision every five years.

Previously, the bank employees' celebrity was revived in 2012 and then it was to be revived in 2017 but they have threatened to strike as it has not happened yet. In addition, bank employees are demanding leave for two days a week.
