A tragic accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, 14 killed

At least 14 people were killed in a tragic accident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. The accident took place when a truck, traveling from Delhi to Muzaffarpur, slipped into a truck near sleeper coach bus Nagla Khangar.

A double-decker bus collided with a truck on the side of the road on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh. Fourteen people were killed and 25 others were injured in the accident, three of which are in critical condition.

About five dozen people, including the driver and conductor, were aboard the bus traveling from Delhi to Motihari in Bihar and the accident took place near Bhadan village on the outskirts of Ferozabad-Etawah district.

According to reports, a truck was punctured on the expressway so that the driver was changing the wheel by parking it on the side of the road. At that time, the speeding floods hit the truck and the ferry was so heavy that the front of the bus was completely damaged. Investigation revealed that the bus speed was too high and the bus driver's fault had led to the accident.

The driver is also suspected of being intoxicated. The driver of the bus was also killed in the accident. The accident was so severe that the bus had to be removed with the help of a crane, and people cut off with gas cutters were evacuated.

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar expressed their grief over the accident via Twitter. Nitish Kumar has ordered family members of the deceased to pay Rs two lakh and compensation of Rs 50,000 for treatment of the injured.
