Mumbai, Feb 4, 2020, Tuesday

Mumbai police have registered a case of sedition against poster girl Urvashi Chudwala, who shouted slogans in support of JNU alumnus Sharjeel Imam, who called for a breakdown of Ishaan India.

Urvashi, popularly known as the poster girl of the gang, had shouted slogans in support of Sharjeel during a demonstration in Mumbai's Azad Maidan on February 1st. Thus Urvashi is a social activist but Mumbai Police registered a case of sedition against him in Azad Maidan, given the way he had demanded the fragmentation of the country in support of Sharjeel.

Several video clips of Azad Maidan protests were circulating on social media in which loud slogans in support of Urvashi Shargil could be seen. Besides Urvashi, the Mumbai police had registered a sedition case against 80 others.

Urvashi Tata is a student of the MA of the Institute of Social Sciences. She had already been a supporter of Shargil. The Mumbai Police, after checking his social media account, constantly posted messages in support of Sharjeel.

In the name of Mumbai Pride Solidarity Gathering, a rally was held in the Azad Maidan in Mumbai on February 1st.

The interesting detail is that after being arrested by police after fleeing to Jehanabad in Bihar, Sharjeel said in his defense that my intention was not to break the country. This was spoken in fleeting heat. Apparently Sharjeel was scared by the police action. On January 25, Ishaan fled to his ancestral home in the Kako area of Jehanabad after learning that an FIR had been registered against him after breaking into India.

It was hidden in Imamwada where the Tajiya of Muharram was made. He was picked up by the Delhi Police Special Investigative Team and brought to Delhi.
