Ukraine's plane crashes near Tehran

A Ukrainian passenger plane crashed near the Imam Khomeini International Airport in the Iranian capital of Tehran amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States.

The aircraft consisted of 180 passengers and crew. According to a report by the Iranian news agency, the aircraft must have had a technical fault. The plane crashed within seconds after take off. According to the Iranian news agency Isana, relief work had begun immediately.
