Two-child law is compulsory for the entire country: Mohan Bhagwat

New Delhi: 18 January 2020, Saturday

Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the law of two children was indispensable as the fruits of development reached all the citizens of the country.

Speaking at a closed door meeting held in Moradabad, Bhagwat said that there was an urgent need today to keep population growth under control.

In Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, Bhagwat was talking to his union workers. He said that the Ram temple was part of our plan. Now Ram is preparing to become a temple. Our next step will be to enact legislation necessary to curb population growth. A law mandating two children for all people across the country should now be enacted. It is in the interest of the country. Politics should not be brought about in this regard.

Bhagwat is currently on a four-day tour of Moradabad. Here he was meeting his cadres in Meerut and Vraj province of Uttarakhand and western Uttar Pradesh. He said that once Ram becomes a temple, the Sangh will keep this issue separate. The next step we have to implement is to bring two children's laws to curb population growth.
