The Muslims of the neighboring countries are intruders, not refugees

Lucknow Date: 8 January 2020, Wednesday

Suresh Pasi, a minister of the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh, said that Muslims coming from neighboring countries do not come as refugees, come as intruders and then spread terrorism.

The BJP has decided to launch a campaign at the national level to eliminate misconceptions raised by the opposition about the new citizenship law. BJP across the country was to hold rallies and other programs to give a simple understanding of the law. For the first time, leaders like BJP's Suresh Pasi have begun blasphemous speeches.

Addressing a rally in Jhansi, Pasi said that Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and Christians from neighboring countries Pakistan and Bangladesh came here after being victimized by atrocities. Muslims do not come as refugees in this way, they are illegally infiltrated and then spread terrorism.

Suresh Pasi is the Minister of State for sugarcane development and sugar industry in Uttar Pradesh.

Political observers said that Pasi's statement was likely to increase the misunderstanding. In Haryana, BJP MLA Krishna Midda on Monday said that people who do not live in this country do not have the right to live in this country. They have to be removed from here. Such statements by BJP leaders have led to further misunderstandings about the new citizenship law.
