Two casinos have started in Nepal. It attracts Indian tourists to gamble and many Indian citizens are being cheated by the lure of winning millions of rupees. In addition, the risk of data misuse has also risen as Aadhaar card is mandatory for admission to the casino.

Mahendranagar, which is located in the Tanakpur-Banabasa sector of Nepal, operates a casino for many years. Many Indians are found in it. To attract Indian citizens to gamble, millions of rupees have been advertised and then nothing comes in handy. The casino operates for four hours and many Indians lost their money. Another similar casino in Nepal has opened in the Sukhasal area a while back.

The casino lasts for 3 hours and contains a large number of Indians. Both of these casinos earn money from Indian nationals. Alcohol is offered at the casino free of charge to attract Indian citizens and then the machines in the casinos do not seem to work at all. Apart from the economic catastrophe of Indians, the risk is data theft.

Indians at both casinos are required to provide Aadhaar card for admission. This can be dangerous for national security as it is very attached to the Aadhaar card with a bank account. People from the area including Champawat, Udhamsinagar, Pithoragarh, Nainital, Dehradun regularly attend casinos. Many Indian nationals are also said to have committed suicide after losing a large amount of money at a casino.

The casino also offers the convenience of transporting vehicles by casino owners to attract Indian citizens. It passes through the Banabasa area, yet the local Indian government system was accused of being blind-eyed, local media reported. As a rule, no cash is allowed for carrying more than 5,000 rupees while going to Nepal, even though Indians go to casinos of Nepal with cash of Rs. They have complained that there was no investigation.
