Remove JNU Vice-Chancellor: BJP's Guide to Murli Manohar!

(PTI) New Delhi, Ta. January 9, 2020, Thursday

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi has expressed his outrage over the violence against the Modi government at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Sunday. He has attacked Jagdish Kumar and demanded that he be removed from office.

On the other side, hundreds of students took to the human resources ministry on Thursday demanding the removal of the Vice Chancellor on violence on campus. However, he was prevented from trying to march to Rashtrapati Bhavan from there. At this time the students were stabbed and police arrested the students due to some conflict with the police.

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi said that the Human Resource Development Ministry was twice Vice-Chancellor. Jagdish Kumar along with the students and professors were asked to resolve the issue of fee hike, but he did not do so and took a strong stand.

The HRD Ministry has asked the Vice Chancellor to implement effective formulas to resolve the fee increase dispute. VCs were also advised to communicate with students and professors, but the Vice Chancellor's stance on implementing the government's proposal is surprising. Their attitude is critical. I believe that such Vice-Chancellor should be removed from office.

Meanwhile, JNU students on Thursday staged a move to the Human Resources Ministry, demanding that they be removed from office due to a fee increase at JNU and vice-chancellor's stance on campus violence. However, he was prevented by the police from trying to march to Rashtrapati Bhavan. At this time, the police had a mild lathi charge to disperse the students as they struggled with the police.

The university students and professors marched from the HRD ministry to Rashtrapati Bhavan four days after the violent violence and vandalism by the bookies on JNU campus Sunday evening. But they were detained after police made a lathi charge.

Meanwhile, the JNU administration has formed a five-member committee to investigate the violence committed by the gangsters on January 5 on campus. The panel will also investigate security deficiencies on campus. Students from other universities also joined this march of JNU students.
