Rapist will be sentenced to death within 21 days

A bill to impose death sentence on minors and women rapists in just 21 days - the Disha Bill was enacted by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Thursday.

Andhra Pradesh became the first state in the country to pass such a bill. A separate court will also be set up in Andhra Pradesh for the rap case, a government spokesman said.

The charge was handed over to women charity officer Kritika Shukla. He and IPS officer Deepika were made special officers for the matter.

In fact, the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly passed the bill in December. The Hyderabad police echoed the allegations of murder after a gang-rape victim of a Hyderabad-based veterinary doctor erupted across the country. The encounter was also criticized by the Supreme Court Chief Justice and several retired judges. Then the Andhra Pradesh government made this decision

Instead of a rap victim from Hyderabad, the woman's surname was directed in the bill.
