New delhi date. January 16, 2020, Thursday

Jeff Bezos, the world's richest man and CEO of Amazon, is on a three-day India tour. During the three-day visit, he wants to meet PM Modi but has not received a call from the PMO for the visit. Bezos has announced plans to invest Rs 7,000 crore in India. According to data, PM Modi is unlikely to visit Bezos in the present scenario.

It is reported that the investment being done by Amazon and Flipkart Company is currently being investigated by Competition Commission of India. Since the government has changed some rules of e-commerce sector, e-commerce companies have also had to change their business model.

The impact of the confrontation between the e-commerce companies and the government is reflected in the visits of PM Modi and Bezos. Moreover, the Washington Post, owned by Bezos, is constantly criticizing the Modi government's policies. Small businessmen are protesting in different places in India in the presence of Bezos. PM Modi is likely to avoid meeting Bezos even after recognizing the anger of the traders.
