Jamia Violence: Vice Chancellor told protest student, Delhi police not registering FIR

Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University, Najma Akhtar, accused the police of Delhi during the demonstration against the citizenship research law, saying that Delhi Police was not registering our FIR. He said that FIR will be lodged against Delhi Police. If necessary, the gate of the High Court will also be knocked out.

The students surrounded the Vice Chancellor's office on Monday. The students were demanding an FIR before the police. Jamia Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar said that the FIR has been lodged in connection with the violence. But the police are not registering their FIRs.

Students, meanwhile, said that their examination should be completed within 15 days, withdrawing the FIR registered against them. Vice Chancellor Nzma Akhtar accepted the demands of the students and said that the date of the examination will be announced fresh. Najma Akhtar explained to the students that Delhi Police had entered the premises without their permission. He said that the government has objected to this matter.
