It will still be cold, with some places likely to receive rains: weather department

New delhi date. 2 January 2020, Thursday

On the first day of the new year, Qatil Thandi was reported to have killed 31 people in Uttar Pradesh.

The Central Meteorological Department had predicted that it would still be cold. In addition, some states may receive rainfall. A spokesman for the Meteorological Department said that the temperature in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana and West Madhya Pradesh has increased by three to four degrees so temporarily the cold will be slightly less but in the coming days the temperature will be very high.

In some states, deficient rainfall is also likely to break out. Rainfall is especially likely in the plains of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

Rainfall traffic in these states increased by Wednesday afternoon. Even with the rains, the temperature is expected to be a bit harsh as the mercury goes down. Even in Delhi, Bihar and Jharkhand, the possibility of minor strife cannot be ruled out.

In Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, there was fog almost all day on Wednesday. In the meantime a slight thunderstorm broke out. But there was no relief in the cold.
