Iran threatens to have hundreds of missiles ready to answer US

Washington / Baghdad / Tehran, Ta. January 9, 2020, Thursday

Iran again threatens America amid ongoing tensions between the US and Iran. Iran said that hundreds of missiles have been deployed to respond to the US jargon. On the other hand, there were two rocket attacks near the American Embassy in Iraq.

Iran's Brigadier General Amir Ali threatened the US, saying that it had prepared hundreds of missiles for Iran to respond to the US. The military official said Iran has launched 13 missiles, but thousands more are ready to launch. The Iranian military official also warned of cyber-attacks as part of an aggressive response to the United States.

EU officials urged both countries to stop the attacks. The European Union demanded the Iranian president not take any aggressive steps. On the other hand, two missiles struck the greenzone in Baghdad, Iraq.

Since there was an American Embassy in the area, it was targeted and attacked with a rocket. The Iraqi military confirmed the attack. Two days ago, Iran launched a missile attack targeting the US Embassy. There was no harm, however.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has shown a soft attitude toward Iran for the first time. While addressing the media in the White House, Trump said that America would not launch a new attack if Iran put down its weapons. Trump said that it must work wisely for world peace.

Trump did not mention whether there would be retaliation or an attack against Iran. On a missile attack in Baghdad's green zone, Trump said no American civilian was hurt.

However, Trump has shown strong stance on Iran's nuclear program. Trump has expressed his aggressive attitude toward nuclear programs, emphasizing the old conditions. Trump also spoke of imposing new sanctions, though he said it was likely that Iran would be softened by comments that did not attack or respond.
