'India is not the father of Modi-Shah's father'

New Delhi, Jan 16, 2020, Thursday

In the Lok Sabha, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had uttered words not speaking about the new law on citizenship. He said at one point that Bharat Desh was not Jagir of Modi or Shah's father.

He said that the BJP considers me a Pakistani. Regardless, I also say that I am Pakistani. No one can speak the truth in this country today. Do what you think you should do. We are forced to do what Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah want. We are not ready to do this because this country is not the realm of Modi or Shah's father.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, elected from North 24 Parish of West Bengal, is best known for his speech.

He said that Modi and Shah could not impose their views on us. Today these two are in power, not tomorrow. We do not accept his views. They both need to understand this. You cannot force your thoughts on anyone.

Choudhary Befam has also spoken before. When the details of Devendra Singh, a Sikh police officer in Jammu and Kashmir, were linked to the terrorists, Chaudhary said that if Devendra Singh had been Devendra Khan, RSS leaders would have rushed to him. Later, the Congress tried to turn it around by saying that this statement was a personal opinion of Chowdhury and the Congress did not agree with it.
