If a government employee goes to a rally against the government, he cannot be suspended


Observe the employee's right to go and express his or her opinion even if there is a political party rally

On the eighth, the Bharat Band was announced, in which government employees also joined. The central government, however, warned employees not to attend such rallies and rallies.

Amidst this situation, the Tripura High Court has issued a verdict in favor of the government employees and in its observation that the government employees can also go to any rally, dharna demonstration and this is their right.

A government employee went to a left-wing rally in Tripur. Which the government suspended. Later this government employee challenged the government's decision in the High Court where he won. The High Court upheld the employee's application and directed the government not to suspend them and return them to work.

At the same time, the High Court said in its observation that any government employee has the right to go and there is no political rally, no political party rally, no employees rally and no anti-government rally.

And if any government employee goes to any such rally or rally, no action can be taken against him. At the same time, the High Court also said that any government official, employee, also has the right to write on social media about the government or its policies or to talk about it at any point.

Later on, petitioner Lipika Paul's lawyer, Purushottam Roy Burman, said, "We welcome the High Court order." The order has also given relief to many government employees who are afraid of going to a rally against the government that they should not be suspended somewhere. However, now the High Court has made it clear that any government employee can go to the rally.

At the same time, the High Court had directed the government to immediately take the employee back to his post and pay his salary till the date he was suspended in 2017. Following the order, many government employees are relieved that they are being prosecuted for going to rallies against the government.
