The Income Tax Department has sent a notice to pay a revenue tax of Rs 1.05 crore to a grandmother living in Thane's Ambiwali slum. The notice has been sent to the laborer for depositing Rs 58 lakh in the bank account at the time of the closure.

Surprisingly, the daily income of this laborer is Rs 300. The laborer named Bhausaheb has three children and he cannot send his third child to school due to low income. Under these circumstances, the notice of the Income Tax Department has made the laborers very worried.

A laborer named Bhausaheb Ahir contacted the police and claimed to have no knowledge of the bank account shown in the notice. According to Bhausaheb, his documents were lost and it is possible that someone opened a fake account on his behalf.

The worker receiving the notice lives in a 100-square-foot cottage, and the cottage is legally owned by his father. He first received notice in September 2019.

In 2016, the amount deposited in the private bank account was questioned during the notation. At that time the laborer contacted the bank and the income tax department. The account may have been opened using Bhausaheb's PAN account number during the investigation but the photo and signature were different.

Then on January 7, 2020, Bhausaheb again got a notice to pay tax of Rs 1.05 crore so that he lodged a police complaint. He said the family could be financially compensated for what they earn from the police on a daily basis.
