Will you have to resign, pass the impeachment proposal against Trump?

Washington, Ta. December 19, 2019, Thursday

An impeachment proposal against US President Donald Trump has passed. This proposal has been passed in the House of Representatives.

The voting on the proposal for this was 197 out of 230 votes in favor of the proposal. Most MPs voted in favor of impeaching Trump on power abuse and obstruction of congressional work.

Donald Trump is the third president of the United States to be prosecuted under the impeachment proposal. Earlier, Trump had written a letter from House of Representative speaker Nancy Pelosi asking him to stop the impeachment proceedings against him.

Trump is alleged to have misused his position and forced the president of Ukraine to investigate against two Democrat leaders. However, Trump has denied the allegations.

Now a probe into the Senate will begin against this proposal. Where a Republican means a majority of Trump's party. Separate committees will be formed for this investigation.

These committees will convene and reverse witnesses. That would also give Trump's lawyers an opportunity to argue. If the committee determines that the allegations against Trump are being proven, members of the Senate will vote on it and if Trump is voted with a two-thirds majority, then Trump will have to resign as president.

However, the Republican Party has said that we have 53 out of 100 seats in the Senate and in these circumstances there could be major upheaval if 20 members of the party do not support them. So far the Republican Party has been supportive of Trump.
