US Commission demands ban on Amit Shah if citizenship bill is implemented in India

The bill does not have any right to the US Commission on personal matters, discriminatory practices: India

Washington, Ta. December 10, 2019, Tuesday

The government has come up with a bill to amend the citizenship law, which is being protested in the country.

However, on the other hand, the central government has responded to this saying that it is an internal matter of India, that the US or any other country has no right to intervene or make statements.

The American Commission on International Religion Freedom has said that the Citizens Reform Bill is discriminating on the basis of religion. No citizenship can be determined on the basis of religion.

The bill stipulates that before December 31, 2014, refugees of every religion from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan will be granted Indian citizenship, but will not include Muslims. This has led to opposition to this bill and now America has joined it.

The commission, which formed on the independence of American religion, has opposed the bill and warned that if the bill was passed, India would have to impose sanctions against Amit Shah. A statement issued by the International Religious Freedom of the United States (USCIRF) said that keeping Muslims out of the bill was not appropriate.

The Citizens Bill can take a frightening turn. Contrary to the Constitution of India which was formed on non-sectarianism. Which gives every citizen the right to equality. The United States Commission for Religious Freedom was formed in 1998, which monitors the freedom of religion in which country.

The same organization recommended the then-Chief Minister Narendra Modi's US visa be revoked after the 2002 riots. The religion commission of the United States said it was very sad to know that the bill was passed in the Lok Sabha. On the other hand, Ravish Kumar, a spokesman for the Union Ministry of External Affairs, said that the US organization is discriminatory.

This bill does not affect any Indian citizen. It provides for permanent citizenship in India to minorities living in other countries, it is not said that discrimination of minorities from other countries is not discrimination. This body, based on American religion, has also shown discrimination in the past.
