The United States successfully tested a missile capable of hitting mid-range

The risk of unnecessary arms competition with Moscow poses

The United States on Thursday tested a missile capable of hitting mid-range. In addition, the United States has tested missile for the second time in the last four months.

The Pentagon was testing a missile that could strike up to a medium distance on Thursday. If the arms treaty between the United States and Russia does not end then a ban on the testing of this missile would apply, but in August, the US has been exempted from that agreement.

However, US arms control advocates said the test posed a risk of unnecessary arms competition with Moscow. A Air Force spokesman said the Air Force tested the missile at Vandenberg Air Force Station in Los Angeles at 8:30 a.m. local time.

According to the Pentagon report, the missile fell 500 miles (about 800 km) into the Pacific Ocean. This type of test could signal North Korea because it has successfully tested several short, medium and long range missiles.

Through the successful testing of various types of missiles, North Korea has demonstrated its nuclear capability across the Pacific Ocean. However, North Korea dismissed the UN-backed sanctions saying that the Trump administration had little time left to save the nuclear story. In addition, North Korea has said it will decide on its own what America expects from North Korea over Christmas.
