The Center is committed to improving the quality of drinking water

New Delhi, 9th December 2019, Monday

In an effort to improve the quality of drinking water across the country, representatives of the central government will hold a meeting with representatives of the states on Monday.

Today drinking water quality criteria will be determined. If the water does not meet the criteria, then the citizens will be able to make a legal complaint against the water provider in the consumer court.

Last month, the BIS released a report on the deteriorating quality of drinking water. Then the concerned Minister of the Center Ram Vilas Paswan ordered the representatives of the states to check the quality of drinking water in their own state.

Representatives of the Center and States will meet in a meeting today. The meeting will determine the quality of drinking water.
