The BJP remained away from power despite getting the most votes and seats

Ranchi, Ta. 23 December 2019, Monday

Despite being the largest party in the seat and number one in the percentage of votes, the BJP has lost power. The BJP is leading in 30 of the 81 seats in the Assembly elections and has so far received 33.7% of the votes, the highest ever. On the other hand, JMM got 18.69%, Congress got 13.77% and RJD got 2.89%.

Thus, the JMM General Assembly got about 35% of the vote, which is one and a half percent higher in the BJP, but in politics, the principle of one-and-a-half guarah was followed and that was the reason why the three parties together achieved a magical figure of 41. While in the past, the BJP, which is fighting with Ajasu, has found its failure.

Ajasu received 8.42% of the vote. The picture could change if it were to get his and BJP's votes. In Jharkhand, the BJP and AJSU would have been closer to 42% if they had contested together, which would have given them a decisive lead compared to other parties.

It is noteworthy that, before the Jharkhand elections, the BJP received many setbacks from its leaders. On the one hand, Suryu Rai, who is number two in the government, landed against CM while Radhakrishna Kishore left the BJP and joined hands with AJSU. Which was a big blow to the BJP.
