Terrorist attack on army camp in Niger: 71 soldiers killed

Hundreds of jihadist militants have attacked the Niger military camp in Niger, which borders Mali's border. The attack left 71 soldiers dead and 12 wounded.

71 militants have been killed in attacks on militant outposts in western Niger by suspected militants. In addition, 12 jawans were injured and several jawans were missing. According to Niger's Defense Ministry, the jihadists attacked the army camp with a mortar and mortar in which 71 soldiers were killed.

This is the largest attack on the Niger army in the western Tilaberi area so far. Violence has been plagued by Islamic terrorists in Niger since 2015. The terrorists attacked Niger's army with a large number of weapons and ammunition.

The Niger army and the militants clashed for nearly three hours and the militants killed a large number of terrorists during the retaliation. Due to the sudden attack, Niger President Isofu Mohamed has canceled his trip to Egypt and returned home.

Earlier, there were reports that 60 soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack at the military outpost but 71 deaths were later confirmed. The terrorists attacked the military camp with mortar and shell but no militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. It is worth mentioning that, the Niger army is already fighting the Boko Haram terrorists.
