Starting the 5th season of Ranji Trophy from today: Competition between 3 teams

Starting today, the 8th season of the Ranji Trophy, India's premier domestic first class cricket tournament will begin. Ranji Trophy, which is the cornerstone of the history of Indian cricket, will play against a total of five teams. The three teams that are considered elite are divided into three groups. The remaining six teams have been placed in the plate group. In the beginning, the group will play against the stage. Vidarbha's team has been champions for the last two seasons.

Gujarat has been placed in that group. While Baroda and Saurashtra team have made it to the B group. Tomorrow the Gujarat team will clash against Hyderabad. The Baroda team will face Mumbai in the final. Saurashtra team's clash will be against Himachal Pradesh.

Group-A: Andhra, Bengal, Delhi, Gujarat, Hyderabad, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, Vidarbha.

Group B: Baroda, Himachal, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai, Railways, Saurashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh.

Group -C: Assam, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Services, Tripura, Uttarakhand.

Plate Group: Arunachal, Bihar, Chandigarh, Goa, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Pondicherry, Sikkim.
