Saudi gives return meeting to Pak, calls on Kashmir issue

New delhi date. 29. Sunday, December 2019

India received the biggest blow from Saudi Arabia on the issue of removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.

Saudi Arabia was opposed to the Islamic Summit held in Malaysia. This is because Malaysia views the summit as an attempt to create a new organization parallel to the Islamic Organization of the Saudi Arabian Islamic State. It was a distance away from this summit.

Pakistan did not attend the summit to appease Saudi Arabia. In return, Saudi has decided to convene a meeting of foreign ministers of Islamic countries on Kashmir to discuss the Kashmir issue.

This decision by Saudi has given India a big leap. Because India's relations with Saudi have been improving over the last few years. After becoming PM, Narendra Modi has taken initiative to improve relations with Saudi.

The Saudi decision could also question the opposition in India over PM Modi. On the other hand, it remains to be seen how the Indian government reacts to the Saudi decision.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Farhan visited Pakistan. In which Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had discussed with him and he was convinced to call this meeting on Kashmir issue. Apart from the minister, other top officials were also present.

The Saudi Foreign Minister made a statement that the brotherly relations should be held with Pakistan after the meeting.
