Rap cases have increased by 1353 percent in the last four decades

New Delhi, 9th December 2019, Monday

In the last 46 years, the proportion of rapes in the country has increased by 1353 percent. In comparison, the population increased by 220 percent. Millions of cases stand in the courts. In such a situation, the patience of the people is lost and the people in the police encounter in Hyderabad are shocked.

From 1971 to 2017, the population of the country increased by 220%. As well as filing of cases in the Nanimoti courts, a number of cases were reported. As a result, the culprits were delayed. In these circumstances it is only natural for people to lose their patience and to put flowers on the police officers who are encountering them.

After the Hyderabad encounter, a new debate on law and order was started in the country. Some retired judges and chief justice of the country have criticized the encounter when people consider the encounter to be fair and reasonable.

Recalling the Nirbhaya scandal in 2012, Nirbhaya's parents also repeated the incident in Hyderabad and demanded that the accused in Nirbhaya case be killed.
