Ranchi: b. Tech case student rap case, accused Rahul Raj hanged

Rahul Raj alias Rocky alias Ankit alias Sriraj Vasat, who was raped by a BTech student from Ranchi's Butti Basti area, was sentenced to death by the court.

The court termed the case as the "offender" and criticized the accused. Rocky was sentenced to death by a special CBI court on Saturday morning.

The CBI court had framed the charges on October 30 this year. In its final hearing on Friday, the court pronounced Rocky guilty of the rap case and asked to announce the verdict on Saturday.

When Rocky was sentenced to death in court this morning, Rocky's face was flat. He did not seem to be affected by the announcement of the sentence. They may have in mind that when we challenge this sentence in the upper court, the sentence is likely to be reduced.
