Peaceful protests against citizenship laws across the country: traffic jams

Muslim organizations organized a peace rally in Bengaluru, with 35 of them joining. Thousands of people were involved in this peace. As thousands of people joined in the demonstration, the city created a huge traffic jam.

The curfew in Mangaluru, on the other hand, was removed. In Bengaluru, 35 organizations have organized peacefully in protest against citizenship law and the NRC. Thousands of people joined the non-violent protests with the ban on withdrawal of citizenship law and a peace rally.

People have chanted with the national flag, posters. Due to this calmness, many places in the city caused traffic jams. The curfew was imposed following the demonstrations in Mangaluru, it has now been removed, police said.

On the other hand, the Karnataka government has announced the CID probe into violent protests against the citizenship law in Karnataka. Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said that violence in the state will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against those who commit violence. In addition to the CID investigation, the government committee will investigate.

Activist's joint association demanded that police brutality be investigated against students of Jamia and Aligarh Muslim University.

Criticizing the violent attack on students who were performing peaceful demonstrations, the Civil Society Organization's joint statement said that the government should set up an inquiry committee against the police personnel who were violently attacked.
