Not equal for Muslims of the country Equality is the real issue: Naqvi

Riyadh, Ta. December 1, 2019, Sunday

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has arrived in Saudi Arabia. After the nomination, he slammed the All India Personal Law Board and Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind on the Ram temple issue. He said the Supreme Court verdict on the Ram temple issue has ended the dispute. Babri is not the only issue for Muslims. Their real issue is equality at the economic and social level.

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi tweeted a video of the Umrah from his twitter account and wrote, Umrah in Mecca Mukerram today. Also, regarding the Supreme Court verdict on the Ram temple issue, Naqvi said that the dispute was resolved by the Supreme Court verdict.

He criticized the decision of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind to file a review petition against the Supreme Court. Naqvi said that not only is Babri an issue for Muslims, but equality at the economic and social level is the real issue.

Meanwhile, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board in Lucknow on Sunday claimed that 99 per cent of Muslims in the country wanted to file a review petition for a Supreme Court ruling on the Ayodhya dispute. AIMPLB is not a party to the land-disputes in the Ramjam Bhoomi-Babri Masjid.

However, he had earlier said that by December 9th he would file a re-review petition against the Supreme Court verdict. AIMPLB general secretary Maulana Wali Rehmani said that Muslims have confidence in the judiciary, which is why they will file a review petition.

However, after the Supreme Court's ruling on Ayodhya, Muslims' faith has weakened. 99% of Muslims in the country are in favor of a review application. He claimed that the parties which opposed the re-review in the Ayodhya dispute were afraid.
