New delhi date. December 5, 2019, Thursday

Parliament has decided to close subsidies in the canteen. After the decision, MPs will no longer be able to dine cheap. The government, which has raised the issue of inflation, has taken this decision on a canteen made for MPs, employees and journalists in the country's parliament. At present, the government's Rs 17 crore is spent on the subsidy of the canteen of Parliament.

The matter was discussed by the Business Advisory Committee following the proposal of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. To which all parties agreed. The last Lok Sabha raised the cost of canteen food and reduced the subsidy bill. But this time the subsidy itself is being abolished.

The subsidies available to MPs have often been in dispute. In the last days, a canteen rate list of MPs was also announced. Due to the subsidies, the MPs of the country were getting very low cost of eating in Parliament.
