Nirbhaya guilty plea rejected: Delhi Government

New delhi date. December 1, 2019, Sunday

Recently, a woman from Telangana was burned after raping a doctor. In the meantime, the rape and murder case against Nirbhaya in 2012 has been discussed again. Delhi government has recommended that the mercy petition of Nirbhaya gangster be rejected.

Delhi Home Minister Satyendra Jain said, "We have appealed to the Vice-Governor, who applied mercy to the President, out of all those convicted in the Nirbhaya rap and murder case." It is noteworthy that Vinay Sharma, who was involved in the Nirbhaya gangrepe and murder case, filed a mercy petition before President Ram Nath Kovind.

In his mercy petition, Vinay Sharma has argued that the punishment given to him should be forgiven. The Kejriwal government said that this was a very serious crime and under no circumstances will the perpetrators be released. This is a crime that does not involve mercy. Even in the mercy petition which has been made, there is not a single issue that the President should approve.

Currently, Sharma Tihar, who applied for this mercy, is in jail and has filed this mercy petition with the President. In the past, such petitions have been made which are often rejected by the President. Nirbhayakand raised questions about women's safety across the country. The rapist raped only a 23-year-old student and later threw her under the bus, wounding her, which later led to her death.
