Meeting at UN meeting on Climate Change issue without any decision

(PTI) Madrid, Ta. December 15, 2019, Sunday

At a two-week UN climaxing marathon meeting that was attended by 200 delegates without sleep, no decision was made on carbon emissions.

The conditions that were set in Paris in 2015 to reduce greenhouse emissions could not be met. However, till date no negotiations could be reached on major issues such as Article 6, damages and damages and long-term finance.

Despite clear warning from scientists, protests at several levels, and severe impacts of water climate change, the issues raised between the countries in the meeting between December 2 and 13 were found to be difficult to resolve.

According to experts, only a handful of countries came to Paris to share ideas with their own ideas and plans for the Paris Target.

Given the extremely devastating impacts, countries facing the threat of polluted environment and the leading economies do not seem to be interested in improving the environment. They will have to come up with a collective obligation when the new rules of climate change made under the Paris Agreement are implemented in 2020.

The European Union sought to link the developing and developed countries. Although achieving this goal will require major diplomatic steps and effective leadership, only then can the desired outcome be achieved at COP26 in Glasgow next year. No decision can be made on carbon emissions at the invitation.

In the last hours of the negotiations, the government of 30 countries agreed with San Jose's principles in an attempt to uphold the integrity of the carbon market rules. Despite discussions for hours on climate change at almost 25 annual meetings, there was no satisfactory answer on how to resolve carbon emissions.
