Large reductions in employment growth figures in rural areas

New Delhi, December 12, 2019, Thursday

In September this year, the rural wage growth rate dropped significantly, the Labor Bureau reports. The wages for rural laborers in 2018 were 3.42 percent higher than in September this year.

According to a report released by the Labor Bureau, the wage growth rate for all twenty-five rural businesses, including agricultural bars and non-agricultural thirteen, was low (extremely low) all-time.

The report claimed that the sale of Fast Moving Consumer Goods ( FMCG) and Two Wheelers had led to a major gap. This was evidence of the fact that a deep recession was taking place.

According to the report, the rural wage growth rate declined from 3.76 per cent in December 2018 to 3.46 per cent in September 2019.

In other words it can be said that the marginal wages that the rural laborers were getting was increased so the laborers stayed where they were. There is no improvement in their standard of living.

The estimate was based on sales figures for two-wheelers.
